the person in the tag is right scapgrece is not a trans man, but the circumstances are remarkably similar. he is in the ‘wrong body’ and struggles with his identity and so the issue of misgendering is the same even if the circumstances are different. several people i know personally in this fandom deal with similar issues on a daily basis so them attempt to make the tag a safe place for them isnt 'string shit’ or drama its them attempting to educate people on real issues.

i was wondering about the valkyire-darquesse situation when i realized something
it’s said that darquesse is actually a darker part of valkyrie and not exactly an alter-ego
which really reminds me of how anton’s gist is a darker part of him, but rather physical than mental
both are powerful and versions of the owner

If a Gist is let out of the user’s body for too long, the Gist will take over, causing the user to be trapped inside the Gist, instead of the Gist being trapped inside the user.
this is very similar to how darquesse has taken over valkyrie’s body at the end of lsodm after having done temporarily so a few times previously
so darquesse is a mental gist of sorts
